Traveling part 1[open]

[Jarad]

Jango also slide off his horse, but he landed on his left arm. He nearly squealed in pain. He rolled over and stood up. "Ow, that fricken hurt! Well, I guess we both are cult's when it comes to getting off of horses." He said with a laugh. He took a pack off of the saddle of the horse and pulled out a few tents. "So, should we set up tents? OR just make a fire and sleep by the fire?" He asked Karen and Vane. He was a little tired and wasn't sure how or where they would find fire wood, but he was sure that they would be sleeping here. HE also pulled out two stakes and, after tieing the horses reins to them, put them into the ground so that the horses didn't run off.

[Vane Lovell]

"I'd rather sleep around a fire." He said.

Vane always hated to have something sitting over his head. He loved looking up at the stars and slowly falling to sleep. He also hated the felling of being in a confined space, thats why he avoided Inns when ever he could.

He jumped off his horse and landed gracefully on his feet. He was used to horses so he wasn't sore like the girl. He also knew how to get off them properly. He looked around for a place to set up the camp. After he couldn't find a place he just shrugged.

"alright then..a fire it is...you can still sleep in a tent if you want Jango" she looked at him while saying this. It was obvious that she wouldn't be using a tent. She walked away aways and and area of grass dissappeared into the dirt only to reappear among oother grass. This made a circle for a fire, and the grass around that circle extra lush and dence. She looked back at them. "hey...there's a good place for a fire over here. If you need wood just ask me" she chuckled. Meanwhile she started walking away from the fire place..and when she decided she was a safe distance away from that. She sat down and started to work on her magic...creating what she needed. Of course for her it only took a minute so that she can figure out how she needs the plant to be. This is a prairie so the roots should spread out pretty far and the tap root should go maybe a foot into the ground, since it'll be a big plant. the petals should be big and sturdy, and black. The center should be also big and soft but not easy to tear, break or crumble. While she thought of it a plant was growing and was gaining the attributes she thought it should. When she was done she crawled right on it and sighed a sigh of releif.

Jango put the tents away into his pack. "Well then, lets find some wood." HE said to himself as he searched through the area. After a few minutes of searching, he manged to find some wood for a fire. He went over to the fire place that Karen had made and placed the wood in the center. He yawned, and started to search through his pack for something that would help light a fire. Eventually he found a flint and then he pulled out a knife. After a few tries he managed to get a fire started. "There we go." Thats when he noticed that Karen had made a large plant and she was sitting on it. He walked over to her. "This is pretty cool." HE said to her, "You are pretty cool." HE said to her with glee. He was easily amused by someone with magic.

[Vane Lovell]

Vane looked around for a place to find wood. After searching he had found a fair sized tree that was dieing. He didn't want to sleep close to the group, he had just meet them and they didn't know what he was. He made a quick movement off his hand and the blade he made earlier came flying back to him. It quickly changed back into its liquid form. After making sure that the others weren't looking he drank the blood. Why should he have let good blood go to waste.

He moved over to the area and made sure the ground was nice and soft. He searched around the tree and found branches and twigs to make a fire. After placing them carefully to make sure they would last awhile he whistled summoning his horse over to him. He searched through his pack looking for his flint and steel. After a few seconds he found them and went to the sticks. It only took a few strikes before the fire started up.

He pulled his sleeping bag off his horse and unrolled it. He was a fair distance away from the group, but not so far away he couldn't hear them and close enough they could hear him.

Karen smiled as she saw the fire come to life. She really was at peace, as it was getting darker, the light of the fire was welcome. She blinked as Jango commented on her and her plant. She smirked, trying to hold in a laugh but in the end failed. "You're easily entertained aren't you?" she laughed a little more then turned right around with a "I'm sorry if that was rude..it's just that...well I don't get to talk to people often" she looked away, blushing with embarrassment. While she was looking away, she caught sight of Vane as he was busy with his own business. She'd leave him alone. If he was ment to join the team..then he'd join on his own decision.

Jango laughed with Karen, "Yes, I am easily amused by magic." HE said to her. "It wasn't rude. I understand not being able to talk to people for a while." He said to Karen with a smile. He also noticed what Vane was doing. He didn't see what it was he was doing, but he noticed that he had distanced himself from them. He didn't trust them. Jango sighed. "Do you think we should invite him to join us?" He asked Karen with a whisper.

[Vane Lovell]

Vane could hear the young boy asking the older girl if they should invite him over. He didn't want to go over there just yet. But if he was invited it would be rude to turn them down. Instead for now he looked up towards the sky watching the stars as the faded in. He focused on the crackling of the fire near him. He loved the smell of smoke, it was one of the things that relaxed him. He closed his eyes but didn't fall asleep, he wouldn't sleep until the other two where sound asleep. He still didn't want to trust them just yet.

Karen looked back up to Jango, a small smile curled on her lips and a twinkle in her eye. "I already did that, albiet subtley.. but enough for him to think on it. You said you don't like the leadership role..so let me take it for now. Leave him be, If he wants to come with us..it should be on his own. A team of people who were pestered into joining doesn't make a good team at all. Take it from someone who's been there" she chuckled. She took a deep breath and let it out slowly, "Hey! are you two hungry? Because I sure am"

Jango nodded, "Alright." HE said aloud after she asked the question of food. It was meant to respond to what she said earlier, and to them being hungry. "I have a few things with me. Some fruit, smoked meat and a few other things." He said to the others. He took out a pot and a spite. The spite to cook the meat, and the pot in case they wanted to make a stew or something. He yawned a little. He watched the sky as the sun slowly set and as the smoke rose up into the air. Jango noticed a few birds flying over head and was watching them intently.

Vane made his way over to the other fire and sat down with them. After a while he started to speak.

"No thanks, Im not that hungry."

All he really wanted was some good blood. Maybe during the cover of night he could wonder off and find some. But for now he would remain at the camp. He watched as a few birds above them had caught Jango's eyes. Funny how children could be caught up in the most simple of things.

Karen nodded as Vane came over and said he wasn't very hungry. Then she turned to Jango, " We can go on that. A meal of fruit and meat and what ever else.Go a little light on the smoked meat though. It stores the best"

Then she looked up at the birds flying over head. There was apeaceful mood to it, then she got an idea. "In the mood for poultry?" she asked cheerfully. She was serious though.

Jango nodded as Karen spoke of Poultry, "Sure, we can have poultry, though I am unable to shoot an arrow." He said to Karen with a small laugh. He heard Vane say that he wasn't hungry. "OK then, is there anything you want or need Vane?" He asked him politely. He didn't want to be rude, and he was just going to let Karen take care of trying to get him to join the group. Karen was much smarter when it came to this then he was. He yawned, and started to prepair the food into something. He didn't use a lot of teh smoked meat, and he didn't use anywhere close to everything he had, so it wouldn't be that big a problem.

Vane smiled and just shook his head. Yes he truly did need something but he wasn't about to let them know what he wanted. Blood even though he had some earlier in the day he wanted some now more then anything. The craving had hit him out of the blue. Maybe he could get away while they was sleeping and hunt for something.

But for now he just remained at the fire, some how he new these people where trying to ask him something by the way they where acting Jango was showing it the most.

karen nodded, "well you don't have to be able to shoot a bow an arrow to get a bird. It is however, the easiest way." She then pulled out a long black string out of a pouch she had with her. She looked at Jango and gave it a nice stretch and seemed to grinn mischeviously. "I LOVE having magic..you know it's SO conveniant."

She held the string at it's full length and after sometime a bow seemed to grow around the string. Only it was different, the bow had some leaves on it. "I will be right back..." As she said that even, she was untying her horse and getting back on. Then she gave it a little kick and they were off. Yes, Karen had to be the most adventurous person out there..and the one to willingly try almost anything once...you see, she's never hunted on horseback before.
