Traveling part 1[open]

[Jarad]

Jango and Karen had just left the city and where now on their way to Ivalice. Jango, having been visited by a magic man, or so he thinks, sets out to gather allies and try and stop a war. He had just met Karen after she had tried to steal his money from him and they had decided to travel with each other in hopes of stopping a mysteryious war that neither of them knew was certain to happen.

Jango and Karen rode on two horses, having bought them in town and being able to escape town before the guards and civilians where able to react. So now, they travel the vast plains in order to find friends, and save Karnthya from a war, that may or may not happen.

[Vane Lovell]

Vane was on the back of his jet black horse Shadow. In the distance he could see two figures. He slowed his horse to a walk and watched the people carefully. He wondered what the two of them where doing out here if he hadn't just finished drinking he would have made one of them his meal.

Getting closer to the group he could see one of them was nothing but a child. The other one seemed to be older then him in looks but not in years. The Vampire Knight called out to the group.

"Hello." He said bring his horse closer to them.

It was karen that noticed him first. It happened to be boring at the moment, and she had nothing much to talk to Jango about. She was glancing around them. She had seen they guy on a black horse, but didn't give notice to either of the guys. It was only when the other guy called out that she would fully turn to look at him. "My! another one, eh Jango?" She said quietly and looked back to him. "might as well chat"

[Jarad]

Jango yawned and had not noticed the vampire knight until he called out to them. Then he heard Karen speak to him, "Yes, another person out here in the middle of no where. Lets go chat." HE said agreeing with Karen. He moved his horse a little closer to Karen's. "Hello, what brings you out here so late?" He asked the man. HE didn't know that the man was a vampire, but he was sure that the guy wouldn't dare attack two people. At least he hoped so, seeing as he was still good with a sword in one arm, and Karen was able to use plant magic, they wouldn't have to hard a time, unless this man was hell bent on killing them.

[Vane Lovell]

Vane studied the pair of them. He was starting to wonder why they was out here in the middle of nowhere. Vane bit down on the side of his cheek hard just in case he needed to defend himself in a hurry.

"I could ask you the same question, but I am a traveler."

He didn't like being asked what he was doing but he decided to answer. A little blood spilled out from the corner of his mouth but Vane quickly licked it back inside.

As the man studied them, Karen studied him right back. As a theif, she had some skill judging a person by looking at them. She looked back at Jango, "well...you could say we're travellers too." She didn't say anymore, she figured if this guy was to be their ally...it was all up to Jango to figure out if he wanted him. Then she saw the blood dripping from the guy's mouth..and he had licked it back like it was nothing. "are you ok?" she asked quietly with a tiny hint of concern in her voice. She didn't press further on the subject though.

[Jarad]

Jango watched the man intently, he noticed how he spoke, how he held himself, how he moved. He noticed all of those things, but the thing that was strange was when he noticed the blood coming from his mouth, and him licking it back up. "Are you OK?" He asked the man almost seconds after Karen had asked him. "Why would you lick up blood? Sorry if I am being rude, but isn't that just a little gross?" He asked him. He was trying to figure out what this man was, for he certanly wasn't human.

Vane wondered for a moment if he should tell them why he was liking the blood. After a few seconds he decided it wouldn't hurt to show them. The blood in his mouth started to take the shape of a small throwing knife. He slipped the knife between his lips and pulled it out with his hand. The blood knife was solid and as hard as metal.

"Thats why." He said with a smile on his face.

He kept the knife in his hand running his finger across the sharp blade without it drawing blood. He was proud of his magic so he jumped at the chance to show it off. It was one of the rarer magics and very hard to learn, he himself still hadn't learned to master it.

"keh!" Karen hit her forehead with her palm. The horse took a couple steps to the right. Karen pulled up a little on the reins and patted the mare's neck. Then she looekd back up at jango. "You're right, that was rude."

Next thing she knew the man they just met brought his hand up to his mouth. To her great surprise, a red throwing knife came out of his mouth. She was struck by instant admiration. "that's awesome.." she said quietly, for she was a big fan of all sorts of weapons and she liked weapons that could be hidden and/or used conveniantly.

[Jarad]

Jango's eyes shined, "Thats blood magic your using. how did you learn that? O never mind. I don't think any of us have introduced our selves. I am Jango, this is Karen, its a pleasure to meet you sir." He said to the man. HE woulld be a good ally to have with them, now if only to convince the man to join them. That was going to be hard and Jango had no clue as to how to go about it. First off why would the man want to travel with them? And second off, what would he gain. Jango had to ponder on this for a moment.

[Vane Lovell]

"I'm Vane the Blood Knight." He said. "So what are you to really doing out here."

He knew the two of them where up to something. A women would not normally alley herself with one so young. A cold breeze made its way around the group and this sent a chill up Vanes spine. Even under the crimson armor he was cold. He was going to set up camp for the night before he saw the strange group.

Karen thought for a moment. What did she have to lose by telling him? Jango didn't seem to know how to exactly. No wonder he hated being leader of stuff. "Well to tell you the truth, Jango here got word of a war that might be coming. So he went out to prepare for it or try and stop it. I'm just here for the heck of it" well, it was sort of the truth. Yet it was not all of it. Her subconcious was working and her morals were changing a little bit. So was her personality. Little by little. People change after all, it's just a natural thing.

The breeze made her shiver. The horse too. "oo chilly out here"

[Jarad]

Jango nodded, "Ya, we are traveling to try and stop a war. I heard that an army is forming down south of here and I want to stop this if its true." Jango said to Vane. He yawned, then he felt a chill run through him. He did his best to rub his arm's together, even though his left arm was still broken."Wow its cold out here. Why not make camp now?'' He asked Karen. He turned to Vane, "Why not stay for the night. It would save you time and energy." HE said to Vane. Hopefully he would be able to get up the courage to ask this man to join their group. He would defiantly be a good asset to them.

[Vane Lovell]

"A war...I haven't heard anything about a war."

Vane didn't know if he should trust these people just yet. He had just meet them but they didn't seem to be a threat to him. After all if they did try something his magic was strong. Then again they didn't seem like the type to try and hurt someone, after all they was trying to stop a war.

He looked around wondering where would be the best place to set up camp. He then turned back to the group.

"Sure, Ill be glad to join you for the night."

[sam]

"Oh good" Karen said and slid off her horse and landed on her butt. The horse moved away a few steps and then settled down. "Like I said! I don't have alot of experience with horses.." She meant referring to a conversation she and Jango had earlier before they bought the horses. She then turned and pushed herself up. It felt weird to be off the horse.

"I meant to get off the horse..I did not mean to land on my ass" she muttered, "and I'm sore" but she didn't whine about it. She almost sort of laughed about it. She went over and picked up her horse's reins and pet the horses nose. "so..where to?"
