Karen's eyebrow rose, "well you should say that sort of thing earlier!" she laughed a little bit. "an army means a war..And as much as I hate war and the thought of dying in one.." she paused, thinking the the best way to put it, " I can't sit back in the general populous so If there was no other reason..I'll come just to try and stop the war as soon as possible and help out with my own hands." she sighed. She really hoped the war wouldn't come. She liked action but a war would be too much. "as for the leadership role..I've heard of groups that had no real leader...they would all take their turnes and would all contribute something. It's a marvel really it is.. "

Jango nodded, "Yes, I don't like the thought of war either, I hope that what the man said was not true, but its hard not to believe, seeing as he was able to knock out a guard with a simple touch and vanished in the blink of an eye. I still say it was just a magic man. Though it could be a god." He said in a skeptic voice. He yawned, "Well, if anything, we need horses in order to leave here and not have to deal with many things on the way to the next town. Though I doubt we will find a town close to here." He said to her with a sigh. "So, how much you think two horses will cost?" He asked her.

Karen smiled, "No idea! I never got to buying a horse. Though I did steal one once." she shrugged. "So instead of asking me, how about we ask a horse guy. Maybe if we haggle he'll give you a price you can afford. " yes, she said "you" on purpose. It was her nature. She was so used it, it might take her a while to change.

Jango nodded and started towards the stables, he walked up to a man that was working with the horse and after a few moments of waiting he asked, "Excuse me sir, but do you know who we can ask to buy a horse?" The man wiped sweat off his forehead. "You are speaking to that man young boy. Now why would you want to buy a horse? You don't look fit to travel, not with that arm of yours." He said to Jango. Jango sighed, "Sir, I am just as strong enough to ride a horse with one arm as I would be with two, now I need two horses, and I would like to know the price of two horses." He asked the man politly, after a few moments of thinking, the man spoke, "100 copper pieces." Jango sighed, "How about 40 copper pieces and 10 silver pieces?" He tried to haggle. "50 copper pieces and 10 silver pieces." Jango counted his money, he was ten short, the money that Karen took from him would have worked. He turned to Karen. "WOuld you mind piching in 10 copper pieces?" He asked her.

Karen nodded to the man as Jango said he could ride a horse with one arm. She knew it was possible because she could too. She watched as they talked more and then the haggling started. She smirked. How could she tell the boy would have to haggle. Who knows? Not even she did. She laughed though, when Jango asked her to "pich in" 10 copper peices. That's what she took from him. "and I was planning on keeping 'em...owwell. Here you go" she said fishing them out and handing them to him.

Jango took the copper coins, "Thank you" He said with a small chuckle. He knew thats what she had taken from him, he emptied out his pouch of money into the man's hand and as he counted Jango looked at the horses. A black mare and a white stallion. He saw different types of horses, but he thought that those two would be a good choice. The man's voice cut through his thoughts, "OK, you can take two horses, what ones do you want?" He asked the two, Jango pointed at the black mare, "This one please," He turned to Karen, "What horse do you want?" He asked her.

Karen looked over more then Jango did. She of course liked the white stallion, but she didn't feel like taking the chance of those two mating. She looked at more. Finally she came to a stop. "I'd like this one if you don't mind." It was a palomino mare. It was also somewhat shorter then Jango's and she could actually mount it without aid. She couldn't really say the same for Jango. (cream body; white main/tail)

Jango nodded to Karen when she had picked her horse. "OK then, those two please." He said to the man. The man seemed reluctant to give him the two horses and finally just gave up and lead both horses out of the stables. "Here you are you two." He handed the reins to them, the black mare's reins to Jango, and the Palomino's reins to Karen. "Have a nice day." He said to the two. Jango gently stroked the horses neck, and after a few moments climbed onto the horse's back as carefully as possible, so as not to hurt the horse. Though he did end up bumping his limp arm against the side of the horse, which made Jango nearly cry out in pain.

Karen noted that the man was reluctant to give them the horses. She wondered why but not for long. There were many reasons and she would not spend her time trying to figure out which one. She also petted the mare a few times, even spoke a little to her. Then she put the reins over the neck, grabbed the horn and lifted herself up. The mare shifted a litle bit and snorted. Karen just smiled, leaned forward and patted the mare on the neck. Then she took the reins in her hands and looked up at Jango. "Whenever you're ready"

Jango nodded to her when she got on the horse, then he pulled out a map of the country, "OK, well if there really is a war on the horizon, we should go south and head to wards the castle in Ivallies." He said to Karen, "In order to do that, we have to travel through the endless plains and mountains. OI, I hope we don't run into anything dangerous." He said then laughed, "Of course we will run into dangerous things. That would be boring if we didn't now wouldn't it?" He asked her.

Karen listened to the plans quietly. It sounded like a pretty lond journey, and it was just the beginning. She smiled as he laughed and looked back to her, mentioning dangerous things." Yes it would. It would be very boring. As long as there's some danger it's all good. Just don't get killed kid. - And be careful with that arm of yours."

He slowly moved the fingers of his left hand, "Don't worry about me, feeling and the ability to move this is slowly coming back. In a few days it should be fully healed." He said to Karen kindly. "Now then, should we head out now? Or wait until tomarrow? Honestly I think we should leave as soon as possible." He said to Karen, "But if you want to rest or something thats fine also." He said to her.

Karen smirked, and with a small tap of her foot on the mare's side, moved up next to Jango's horse, the reins in her eager hands. "I've had enough resting. I was only half awake when I stole that pouch of yours. The run was a good wake up call though. The only restin' here will be if you need it. "She spat on the ground, over the other side of the horse. "So let's go now hmm? We go now we might be able to arrive, alive, even with out money" she laughed a little at this.

"Aye," He said simply to Karen as he lightly kicked the side of the horse, sending it into a quick trot towards the gate, "Well then, hopefully we can get this destiny thing straightened out and hope that there will be no war. Onwards, to Ivallice!" He said to Karen as he got closer to the gate. He didn't take notice to the people stairing at him, and after a few moments, he noticed that a few guards came out of the house he was resting in, he rode past them. "See ya guys, thanks for taking care of me. See you again someday." He said to them as he started to ride off before they could protest.

Karen laughed and with a kick, flew up to catch up with Jango and his horse, where they'd slow down but keep pace with the them. So now the adventure truely began. As far as she she was concerned, a huge weight was dropped on their shoulders,a little more on hers. Since he was the one given the mission to start out with,Karen decided that her first priority was Jango's life and then to make sure he did his mission. Of course this decision was made in her subconcious and she wasn't even fully aware of her choice, and the change it was bring to her life. For now she was just in it for the adventure and chance to stop a war. For this they needed to survive and travel and gather allies. Certainly, after this was all over with, she'd settle down and live out her life as she always wanted to.
